Our vision for strong communities is clear and we are taking action to ensure we achieve our goals, both inside our company and out. We embrace the ideal that successful corporations have responsibilities to their communities and, given that belief, we strive to lead in every aspect of our business in order to positively impact our local and global communities. You’ll find Daimler Financial Services and our employees participating in charitable, educational and cultural initiatives across the Americas, donating time, providing counsel and contributing financially to community organizations.
Our commitment to social responsibility is also illustrated through our Community Service Day Policy. Every employee at Daimler Financial Services Americas is given one paid day off to volunteer at the nonprofit organization of his/her choice. Additionally, most departments choose to be involved in a variety of community service team-building projects throughout the year. These opportunities have included renovating baseball fields in underprivileged neighborhoods, helping out at local food banks or providing reading and art enrichment programs to underserved school children.

Our selection criteria for community relations partnerships include:

Partner organizations must possess non-profit status: 501(c)(3), or similar designation

Mission of partner organizations must fall within one or more of our target focus areas – education, community advancement, arts & culture or public policy

The partner organization must reach the communities in which we live and work

The partner organization must be able to demonstrate measurable beneficial outcomes
